How To Use Keywords For SEO?
We need to use keywords for SEO effectively. This is the only way to increase traffic to your website organically. How to find keywords for SEO, then? Let’s dive in together.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
We need to understand that SEO is being used by all websites that want to be found. People are using the search engine to find a lot of things. You can be sure that they are looking for information. If that information is on your website, you want people to find your website. This is the basic understanding of SEO.
How To Find Keywords For SEO
You need a keyword research tool for it. I love to use Jaaxy for my keyword research. But the first thing that I would do is to use Google.
Google, being the number one search engine, is a great place to find keywords. Just put a search term (aka keywords) to the Google search bar but DO NOT hit Enter.
Google will show you a list of keywords that you can use. As an example, I use the term “how to use keywords”.
Google immediately shows 3 additional keywords:
- How to use keywords for SEO
- How to use keywords in youtube
- How to use keywords in blog
That’s how I find my keywords for SEO for this article
How To Determine Keywords For SEO
The steps continue. This is where I use Jaaxy to determine if my keywords for SEO are worth it. We need to see if a keyword has what it takes to be chosen.
My standards for a keyword are:
- It has a significant search traffic.
- It has an adequate competition.
- It makes sense
Traffic determines if a keyword is being searched by people. The more traffic the better. It represents the possibilities of how much people will be visiting your website.
Competition will tell you if a keyword is being used by other websites. More competition is bad for your website. But No Competition is also bad. It probably a sign that the keyword doesn’t make sense.
Keywords have to make sense. The first indication is a proper grammar. People are the ones that use the search engine. They will type in the correct keywords in a proper grammar. It also indicates that a correct spelling is a must.
People might mistype but Google may correct the search terms. If Google corrects it and you have a misspelled keyword, Google will not show your website on their results. This will be a disaster.

How to Use Keywords in Content
Learning from Jaaxy results and what really works, we can be assured that you need to put keywords in your content.
- URL. Make sure you put the keyword in your URL.
- Page Title. Edit your HTML Title tag to include your keyword. Mention it in the beginning of your post, too.
- Page Description. HTML meta description is often overlooked when writing a post.
- Use your H1 and H2 (or H3 or H4). Search engines love headings and subheadings.
- In your links. This will help search engine to find related contents
- In your images. Use your alt text to include the keyword.
How NOT to Use Keywords
I believe you have a bunch of ideas on how to improve your SEO. But a fair warning should be given. You DO NOT want to put keywords everywhere.
The main rule that you should remember and not be broken is: Make a content that is easy to read.
Stuffing keywords will make a content not natural. You will be bored to read repeated sentences over and over again. It will be too obvious that you wrote a content that focuses on search engine rather than people. People love variety and originality. Write what people love!
It is easy to use keywords for SEO if you have the tools. Jaaxy is one of the best keyword research tools out there. It is important for your website to have a proper keyword tool.
